Deputy US Marshall, Smokey Pickett, stopped for information and a cool drink in 1882 while on his search for Cicero Grimes, implicated in the murder of Express messenger, Andy Hall outside of Globe. Cicero's brother, Lafayette and another cohort were lynched in Globe on August 27th but Cicero managed to escape his captors. Grimes was re-captured and sent to the Yuma Territorial Prison for the term of his natural life.

Great submission related to a place everyone should visit. There are so many great spots in Arizona - but one on the To-Do List would be Yuma Territorial Prison. There are plenty of great things to see & do there! A great locale for the upcoming winter! Try it!
