Smokey & Slim's Cowboy Trek

Smokey Pickett and Montana Slim made the trek to Northern California, stopping at the Beckworth Tavern where they renewed old acquaintances and raised a glass to their old friend and trail boss Frank Lottia.

The following bright autumn day, they hired a rig and visited his final resting place.

End of the Trail

Nice gesture to celebrate an old pardner's journey
to the end of the trail and to re-unite with some other "pards". Of course, you did it in true old west fashion with a stop at the saloon!

I love these old towns that have kept the western
look. You can relax and feel like you had been
part of history

A fitting tribute to an old friend. He must have been a good leader to remain in your memories. We're sure it was a good reunion at the Beckworth Tavern, as well!

Thanks very much for your entry, and your contribution.
